A cat who has four mouths to feed, now has a comfy place for her kittens. She starts to relax and trust.

Four kittens, about 10-12 days old, arrived at with their cat mother for a chance at a better life. "They came from a hoarding situation, and we are glad we were there to help," , founder of the rescue, shared.

After having lived in close quarters with other cats, the cat mom, Lainey, was relieved to have a clean, comfortable nursery to raise her babies, and plenty of food for herself.

Lainey was very protective of her precious four and kept them close against her belly at all times.

"Our new mama and her four babies are happy to be settling in to their new cozy room with their foster mom, ."

For the first couple of days, Lainey was a bit nervous and stressed. Being a very young mother, she had many uncertainties. Monica gave her the space and time to decompress while keeping an eye on them, making sure they were all well cared for.

"We're lucky to be able to give them the second chance at a happy, healthy, and spayed/neutered future that they all deserve.

Slowly but surely, Lainey began to let her walls down. She was appreciative of the abundance of food available within reach, as she needed to constantly refuel.

In just a few days, the four littermates grew in size and strength, and their eyes began to open. "These babies (Libby, Lenny, Lynx, and Linkin) need to fatten up. The big boy is over double (the size of) the smallest one."

Lainey who weighs only six pounds, is devouring multiple cans of food each day to keep up with her kittens' appetite.

"Lainey is doing a wonderful job raising her babies, and her foster mom is making sure she is fed and happy, and that all these little kittens are gaining weight and healthy."

Linkin and Lenny, the braver of the bunch, are starting to venture out a few steps as their curiosity mounts.

Libby and Lynx are thrilled to have their mom all to themselves while their brothers are scooping out their new world.

Libby, the smallest of the litter, is steadily putting on weight every day. She is determined to keep up with her siblings and can hold her own when they wrestle.

Lainey is very attentive to her demanding four who are getting more active by the day. "They are wiggling around as they build up their strength and start full-fledged walking."

With a comfortable, clean, and quiet space, Lainey is coming out of her shell and starting to trust.

She has realized that her foster mom means good and that she is there to cater to her needs.

"Mama Lainey is starting to relax a little more, letting me hold the babies and not wanting to take them back to their cubby hole right away."
