Eddie, an adorable black cat, has been waiting for a new home at an RSPCA shelter in Great Ayton for 230 days. Staff believe his black coat may be putting people off as black cats tend to take longer to rehome. Eddie suffered from ulcerated ears and bald patches but is now fully healed. He would prefer to be the only pet in the home and can live with older children. The shelter has reported an 8% downturn in rehoming while intake has gone up by the same percentage.
