The upcoming Yellowstone prequel series has been renamed 1923 to better reflect its time period, which will cover the end of WWI and the beginning of prohibition. The show will focus on the Dutton family's struggles for survival during historic droughts, lawlessness, and an epidemic of cattle theft. It will follow two generations of the Dutton family, who are battling beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren have been cast in undisclosed roles, but it is assumed they will both be Duttons. The show is expected to debut in December following the release of Yellowstone season 5 in November.
