Deaf dog Nali was surrendered to a shelter after her family realized her condition. Dharma Lorenz, who had been looking for a furry companion, found Nali and decided to foster her. Nali looked up to her new sister, Amba but still needed extra reassurance. She discovered her travel pillow and started carrying it everywhere with her.
The pillow became her constant companion, and she even took it with her on walks and vet visits. When Lorenz saw another deaf dog named Satchi at the shelter, she adopted him, and he immediately became best friends with Nali. Eventually, Nali passed the travel pillow onto Satchi, who now carries it with him, hoping to pass it on to another dog in need someday.
