Rescuer Odessa Gunn witnessed a heartbreaking scene in China. Dogs, sick and mange-ridden, stood hunched over a bowl of cornmeal in a barren field. Ethel, a tiny Chihuahua, had been trampled by larger dogs and was in desperate need of help. Gunn knew she had to save her. Ethel was weak, covered in mange, and barely had any hair. After receiving proper care, she was flown to her new home in California and is now recovering and thriving. Gunn is considering making Ethel a permanent part of her family.
