Marty found three newborn kittens in bushes without their mother. She sought help from animal advocate Nikki Martinez, who instructed her on caring for the kittens until she returned the next day. Nikki took the weak kittens in and searched for their mother with no success. She contacted a stray cat rescue group and named the kittens Cookie, Potato, and Bun. Bun, the smallest, stopped eating and Nikki used artificial feeding methods to save her. The kittens are now gaining strength. Nikki emphasizes the importance of addressing the homeless animal population by contacting local shelters or rescue organizations for spaying and neutering.
