A family from Queens, New York, who lost their dog Mocha in January found her at an adoption event in Manhattan. The family had gone to the Animal Care Centers of New York City adoption event in Union Square Park looking for a new puppy when they spotted Mocha, who had gone missing after escaping while staying with a dog sitter. The dog, now renamed Sandy by the shelter, was found tied to a post near the ASPCA and put up for adoption after a month in the Brooklyn ACC. After verifying proof of ownership, the family was overjoyed to have Mocha back home despite her having lost weight. Mocha's pet parents are thrilled to spoil her again and have her exceptional traits back in their lives.
