Last week, Tommie Bear was adopted by a family in Houston, Texas. However, after just a few months, the broken-hearted dog was returned to the shelter. Tommie came into the shelter as a stray in June 2020 and had a microchip. Despite being adopted twice, he ended up back at the shelter again due to his behavior. A volunteer at the shelter wrote that Tommie needs a rescue to manage his adoption because adopters don't have experience with this breed. Tommie is a white Staffordshire Bull Terrier who weighs 79 pounds and is about three years old. He is in need of treatment for heartworm. Contact Harris County Pets if interested in adopting or fostering him.
