Cat Raised a Litter of Six and One Bonus Kitten, Now It's Her Turn to Be Someone's Baby
01/06/2023

Fern, a cat at an animal shelter in Indianapolis, raised her litter of six and then accepted an orphaned tabby. She was an attentive mother who even let her weaned kittens nurse for comfort. Foster volunteer Jennifer provided a nurturing environment with a nursery and plenty of cuddles. As the kittens grew, Fern took a backseat and demanded more attention from her people. Now that her kittens have been adopted, Fern is ready to be someone's baby. She's described as a good mama who kept her babies well-fed and clean, and she'll be happy when she finds her forever home.
