A sparrow that was rescued by a woman in California believes it is a dog. The woman found the bird struggling to fly and took it in. Despite having no contact with other birds, the sparrow has adapted to the lifestyle of the woman's two dogs. It walks around the house, eats dog food, and even barks like a dog. The woman believes that the sparrow truly believes it is part of the pack. Animal behaviorists believe the bird's behavior can be attributed to imprinting, where it identifies with the first creature it sees after hatching.
