Cara Delevingne and Jaden Smith Shine in Heartfelt and Romantic Life in a Year Trailer

Jaden Smith stars in the captivating trailer for "Life in a Year," where he aims to prove that life is worth living even in the face of adversity. The 22-year-old actor portrays Daryn, a 17-year-old student whose future is carefully mapped out for success. However, Daryn's life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Isabel, played by Cara Delevingne, at an ice cream shop and discovers that she only has one year left to live.

In the trailer, Daryn tells Isabel, "I have a plan, Izzy. We'll live our whole lives, experience all the milestones, all in this one year." Isabel responds skeptically, saying, "Go away, Daryn.

I don't believe in happy endings." Determined, Daryn tells her to "believe in me," leaving audiences eager to see how their story unfolds.

Delevingne, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, teased about the emotional impact of the film, warning viewers to prepare for plenty of tears. "It's definitely not a pretty sobbing film," she said, chuckling. "It tugs at your heartstrings. I cried all the time during filming."

The opportunity to portray a character battling terminal cancer was a significant challenge for Delevingne. She viewed it as a gift to delve deep into the psyche of someone facing stage three ovarian cancer.

"To be a vessel to understand what it takes to have something like that, it's not a dream role obviously, but in a way, it's an incredible gift," Delevingne shared. She also drew inspiration from meeting a real-life cancer survivor during her preparation for the role, emphasizing the importance of depicting stories of strength, struggle, and community support.

"Life in a Year" is produced by Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, in collaboration with Sony Pictures, and features Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, as executive producers. Director Mitja Okorn recalled a touching moment during the first table read for the film when Will Smith openly displayed his emotions.

"Once the script reading started, everyone tried to hide their tears, but Will Smith didn't care and just cried," Okorn revealed. "I thought, 'Oh, great. I can work with this.' And when we were shooting the emotional scenes, Will Smith was sitting behind me, sobbing."

The trailer for "Life in a Year" promises a powerful and emotional journey as Daryn and Isabel navigate their limited time together. Audiences can expect to be moved by the performances of both Jaden Smith and Cara Delevingne as they bring this poignant story to life.
