Anna Faris has apologized for giving away her Chihuahua, Pete, to a new home without informing the shelter where she had adopted him. Faris said she was "deeply sorry" for not contacting Kinder4Rescue Animal Rescue before placing Pete with another family and acknowledged the dangers of giving animals away for free. She expressed her relief that Pete had been found malnourished but on the road to recovery by Kinder4Rescue, which claims Faris could be required to pay $5,000 under the terms of the adoption contract if she gave Pete to a new owner.
