A heartwarming story of friendship has emerged at The Mia Foundation, a New York-based non-profit dedicated to helping pets with birth defects. Herman, a pigeon, and Lundy, an 8-week-old Chihuahua, were spotted cuddling in the same dog bed. Herman has been a resident at the foundation for several years after losing his ability to fly, while Lundy was recently taken in by founder Sue Rogers. Although Lundy has some mobility issues due to spinal cord damage, Rogers hopes he can be adopted out once he is healthy. The foundation has rescued over 1,000 animals with birth defects and provided vital information to pet owners and vets.
