To put it into perspective, she was about the size of a small apple. Despite her size, Janie was quite active and vocal, proving that she was mighty despite her small stature.

Janie's appearance also caught the attention of cat lovers on social media. She had a silver dusting of fur, leading some to wonder if she might be Siamese or pointed in color. However, Mellissa explained that it was unlikely since Siamese kittens are born white and Janie was too young to have developed any coloring yet. The unique appearance of Janie's coat is a phenomenon known as "fever coat," which can occur when pregnant cats are sick or stressed.

While Janie's fur would eventually transition to black, she still had some growing to do. During her two weeks in quarantine, she found comfort and care from a mama cat named June and her own kittens. June would watch over Janie inside her incubator and showed a strong desire to be with her. Once they were able to meet, June immediately accepted Janie as her own.

June took the time to lick and clean Janie before cuddling up with her and her own babies. Seeing this sweet moment was heartwarming for everyone involved. Janie's older siblings, especially her big sister Jasmine, welcomed her into their furry family.
