After years of confinement, Vanilla the chimpanzee finally experienced freedom when she was moved to Wildlife Waystation. However, when the sanctuary closed down, Vanilla's future became uncertain. Save the Chimps came to the rescue and gave Vanilla a forever home where she could see the open sky. Vanilla, now 28 years old, was amazed by the beauty of the sky and how much she had been missing out on. She now spends as much time as possible gazing up at the sky with her family group, reminding us to appreciate the simple things in life.
