A rescue kitten seems to be enjoying a new game that is quite unusual for a feline. Pippin, according to his owner Jessica Huang, is not your typical cat. Huang believes he is more like a dog trapped in a cat's body. This was proven through a video posted on TikTok by Huang, where Pippin is seen playing fetch. Huang adopted Pippin from a shelter in Cleveland in 2023, where she had previously adopted Pippin's older sibling, Charlie. Pippin has shown a love for laser pointers, annoying his older sister, and playing fetch. Huang noticed his unusual habit of picking up objects with his mouth, resembling that of a dog.
She discovered he could fetch soon after. While there is an ongoing debate on whether cats can be trained like dogs, some evidence suggests they can be. One pet owner even managed to train her cat to take a shower daily. Renowned animal trainer Julie Tottman stressed the importance of consistency, fun, and patience in training cats. She advised starting with simple commands before progressing to more complex ones. Huang found it natural to teach Pippin how to fetch, as he loved chasing a toy mouse from the shelter. However, teaching him to bring it back was a bit challenging, requiring lots of practice. Despite the initial difficulties, Pippin has become a sensation on Charlie's TikTok account, showcasing his unique personality. Huang hopes these videos will dispel the misconception that cats are just cute creatures that sleep all day, highlighting their individual personalities. Pippin has indeed shown that cats can be more than just fluffy companions.代表者: 土屋千冬
