An overweight cat named Shi Fu fell off a sixth-floor balcony in Bangkok, Thailand, and miraculously survived after crashing onto a car windscreen below. The pet suffered bruises, broken claws, and a swollen nose but no life-threatening injuries. Shi Fu's owner was fined for having a pet in a block of flats where they are not allowed. The car owner hopes their insurance provider will cover the costs of repairing the vehicle. In January, another pet, a spaniel named Penny, survived falling off a 90ft cliff in Dorset and managed to swim to safety.
