Madras, a pregnant stray cat, was abandoned when her family had to move. Luckily, Gael, a kind neighbor, found out about her situation and contacted Chatons Orphelins Montréal (COM), a local rescue organization. Madras was taken in by COM and placed in a foster home to prepare for the birth of her kittens. However, shortly after giving birth, Madras fell ill due to an infection, which caused her milk supply to stop.
She received immediate medical care and was able to be reunited with her kittens, although they had to be bottle-fed. Despite not being able to nurse, Madras remained a loving and attentive mother, providing lots of affection and teaching her kittens about the world. As the kittens, Casper and Cotton, grew older, their Birman lineage became more apparent in their coloring and features. They are now ready to find their forever home together. This heartwarming story showcases the importance of rescue and foster care in providing happy outcomes for animals in need.
