Henry Cavill's New Spy Movie Could Become A Trilogy Based On Upcoming Books

Director Matthew Vaughn has unveiled plans for a trilogy of films centered around the world of the upcoming spy movie, Argylle, starring Henry Cavill. The action comedy follows the story of Elly Conway, an author who becomes the target of a crime syndicate due to her Argylle books accurately predicting the future. In an interview with Total Film, Vaughn revealed that after the release of the Argylle film centered on Elly, there are plans for two additional films that delve into the backstory of the spy character played by Cavill.

 The first film will be an adaptation of an in-universe book written by Conway, exploring how Argylle became a spy.

The second film will focus on the young Argylle, portrayed by Cavill. While it remains unclear how successful Argylle will be, Vaughn has ambitious plans for the franchise if it goes beyond the initial movie. The first book in the series will be released in January 2024, followed by the film in February 2024.
