Jaden Smith, the 23-year-old rapper and actor, recently showcased his well-toned muscles in two shirtless selfies on Instagram. These photos were taken before he prepared to perform on Justin Bieber's Justice Tour, which had to be temporarily postponed due to Bieber testing positive for COVID-19.

In his caption, Smith wrote, "On the road again," and also shared images of his elegant hotel room and Louis Vuitton luggage.

Smith has been concentrating on building muscle ever since his parents, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith, staged an intervention in 2019. They were concerned that he had become too thin since becoming a vegan.

During a September 2019 episode of her show Red Table Talk, Jada revealed, "Will and I had a bit of an intervention with Jaden because he's a vegan now, but we realized he wasn't getting enough protein. So, he was wasting away. He just looked drained, he was just depleted, he wasn't getting the nutrients."

Will chimed in, saying, "He had dark circles under his eyes; there was even a little grayness to his skin. We got really nervous, but you are definitely looking better now."

Jaden reflected on his progress since then during a December 2021 appearance with Jada and his grandmother Adrienne "Gammy" Banfield-Norris.

He explained that he changed his diet and started incorporating muscle-building techniques.

"I was able to work with the doctors and really get my vitamins and get my supplements and protein shakes," he said. "That's half of my diet. It's like a password that I have to find to my body. I'm like, 10 lbs. heavier now at this point."

Jaden revealed that he has been hitting the gym to bulk up and he pointed out the significant difference in his appearance after they showed pictures of him performing shirtless in 2019.

"That was a long way from where I was when I was at Coachella, where I just was like, bones," he commented while looking at the photos.

"I thought I was so tight. I was like, 'This. I'm swagging on this. Like, I need to take off my shirt right now.'"

Meanwhile, Jaden's father, Will, is on a different fitness journey. After gaining weight during the pandemic and declaring himself "in the worst shape of my life" in May 2021, Will has been actively working on getting fit. He documented his transformation in a YouTube series titled Best Shape of My Life. Although he didn't disclose his final weight, a newly-ripped Will mentioned in the final episode that he "don't look bad."
