Mrs. Jenkins, an 87-year-old resident of a retirement home, missed having a furry companion. Her granddaughter Katie surprised her with a small white dog named Lucy, well-behaved and calm. Though the retirement home didn't allow pets because of concerns about Mrs. Jenkins' ability to care for one, Katie had worked out all the details and obtained permission for Lucy to stay. Mrs. Jenkins was overjoyed and felt complete again with her new furry friend by her side. They became inseparable, going for walks, playing, and napping together. It was a heartwarming surprise that Mrs. Jenkins would never forget.
