When Tristan went to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa, he was looking for a cuddly puppy. Instead, he met Shey, a 14-year-old miniature poodle who was nearly toothless, partially blind, and deaf. Despite this, Tristan decided to adopt him after realizing he could provide the special care Shey needed. Shey had been abandoned by his previous family, but Tristan brought him home and made him happy until his last days. It's heartwarming to see a little boy show so much love and compassion for an older dog in need of a loving home.
