Country superstar Toby Keith has partnered with BMLG Records to release his latest single, "Don't Let The Old Man In." The emotional ballad will make its impact on country radio on October 30. Keith performed the song at the People's Choice Country Awards last month, where he was honored with the Country Icon award. "Don't Let The Old Man In" has already seen success, reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Country Digital Song Sales chart and ranking among the top three on the all-genre chart. It has also claimed the top spot on the iTunes Country Songs and Videos charts.
The song was written by Keith in 2018 after a conversation with Clint Eastwood about the inevitability of time catching up to us all.
It was featured in Eastwood's film, The Mule. The song holds even more meaning for Keith now as he battles cancer. He chose to perform it at the People's Choice Country Awards because he finds it inspiring for others going through similar challenges. The performance marked Keith's return to live TV after his health struggles.
BMLG Records President/CEO Jimmy Harnen expressed his excitement to be a part of the song, while BMLG Chairman/CEO Scott Borchetta mentioned his previous collaboration with Keith on 12 of his No. 1 hits. The partnership aims to take "Don't Let The Old Man In" to country radio, DSPs, and beyond.
