In 2007, 51 Pit Bulls were rescued from the Virginia home of NFL player Michael Vick. Three died, but 48 survived after being abused and forced to fight. Frodo was one of the survivors who lived to be 15 years old. He spent 14 years being pampered by his loving family after a year in hell. Frodo's death was announced by animal protection group BAD RAP, who helped advocate for and rehabilitate the dogs. Thirteen of these canines are still alive today, living proof that abused dogs deserve a second chance. Vick served 19 months in prison for funding dogfighting and confessing to killing dogs.
