Actress Eva Mendes expressed her excitement on Instagram about partner Ryan Gosling's role as Ken in the upcoming live-action Barbie movie directed by Greta Gerwig. She shared a photo of Gosling in character, displaying platinum hair, a six-pack, and light-wash denim attire. White boxers labelled "KEN" can be seen above his jeans. 

Robbie will play Barbie in the film, set to be released on July 21, 2023. The cast also includes Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, and America Ferrera. Mendes recently spoke about her relationship with Gosling, praising his cooking skills and emphasising their shared responsibilities in raising their daughters.
