Poor Chihuahua Surrendered To Shelter To Be Euthanized Because Of Being Too Fat. Meet Rosemary, a 3-year Chihuahua dog who was morbidly obese and at a risk for health problems. Her weight was four times heavier than any regular Chihuahua’s. Sadly, instead of helping her lose weight, her owner surrendered her to a shelter and requested to put her down. However, the shelter staff refused to do that. They decided to help her get back to a healthy body and find her a new home. Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana shared.Due to being too fat, the poor girl was slow to get down and up. At her heaviest stage, Rosemary was on medications for seizures. Although she wouldn’t have lived a long life, After a strict diet and exercise plan, Rosemary started getting better!
