Lost showrunner Damon Lindelof has responded to allegations of a toxic and unsafe working environment on the set of the hit TV series. In an excerpt from the book "Burn It Down: Power, Complicity, and a Call for Change in Hollywood," several actors, writers, and crew members speak out about their experiences on the show.
The allegations include instances of racist humor in the writers' room, sexist behavior towards female writers, and racist jokes directed at cleaning staff. Lindelof admits in the book that he "failed" to create a safe environment and acknowledges his inexperience as a manager.
