Angus Cloud, known for his role in "Euphoria," will be making one of his final appearances on the big screen in the heist movie "Your Lucky Day." The film, directed by Daniel Brown, marks Brown's first feature directorial debut. Cloud plays the character of Sterling, a drug dealer who takes a convenience store hostage after witnessing an older man win a $156 million lottery. The star-studded cast includes Jessica Garza, Elliot Knight, Mousa Hussein Kraish, and Sterling Beaumon.
Brown revealed that he based the character of Sterling on people he knew growing up, reflecting their protective and loyal nature despite their involvement in drugs and occasional conflict.
When Angus Cloud auditioned for the role, Brown was impressed by how well Cloud's stories and outlook aligned with the character, which led to his casting.Describing Angus Cloud, Brown fondly remembers his kindness and enthusiasm for others, saying he was truly one of a kind. Cloud gained fame at the young age of 21 when he was discovered by HBO casting director Jennifer Venditti on the streets of Manhattan for his role as drug dealer Fezco in "Euphoria."
Aside from "Your Lucky Day," Cloud also stars in two posthumous releases, "Freaky Tales" and "The Line," as well as an upcoming film by the directors of the "Scream" franchise.
His undeniable presence and talent have received critical acclaim, with IndieWire's review of "Your Lucky Day" praising the palpable sadness of his character, Sterling, and his ability to create a sense of vulnerability in others."Your Lucky Day" will be distributed by Well Go USA, with its theatrical premiere set for November 10 and on-demand release on November 14.
