Two stray dogs named Everest and Fuji were always seen together and had never been seen apart until Everest appeared alone. Everest was taken in by a family and then an animal rescue society, but remained unhappy. Months later, Hope for Paws received a call from two sisters who had found a matching dog. Volunteers found that it was in fact Fuji, and took him in as well.
Fuji had survived on the streets with the help of a Golden Retriever named Tai. Once Everest's new family were contacted, they agreed to let Fuji visit. The two dogs were overjoyed to be reunited and Everest's family adopted Fuji. Tai also found a new home, making for a happy ending for all involved.
