A Washington family adopted a husky named Harvey, who was labeled "ugly" due to his facial deformity. Harvey was overlooked at the shelter as potential adopters avoided him because of his "abnormality" and "unattractiveness." However, the family was charmed by his "goofiness and loveliness" and drove 20 hours to adopt him. A woman who saw a Facebook post about Harvey's characteristics convinced her friends to give Harvey and two other dogs rescued from the desert where they were residing beneath a bush some food.
Since joining the family, Harvey has had no issues with his new home and is playing with the family and their pets, including four cats and a snail.
