Petey, a rescue dog, had been living in a shelter in North Carolina for a long time, without any potential adopters. The shelter reached out to the SPCA of Wake County for help. SPCA readily accepted Petey into their shelter. Petey was thrilled to meet his new friends and showed his vibrant personality.
Despite being overlooked multiple times, Petey got adopted by a loving family within a month of his stay at SPCA. Petey settled into his new home with a puppy brother and human siblings. He loves to play fetch in his backyard and gives endless kisses and hugs to his people. SPCA of Wake County hopes that other long-term residents will soon find their loving families.
